Colin Greenseich of Cicero and Oswego Men's Cross Country Finish in Top Three Yet Again

2016 Oct 1

Colin Greenseich of Cicero and the Oswego State men's cross country team continued its four-meet streak of finishing in the top three with a second place showing at Geneseo's Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday morning. Oswego finished second to only the host Knights, who are the top-ranked team in the country in the latest USTFCCCA Division III poll.

Junior Colin Greenseich and sophomore Dylan McCarthy led the way for the Lakers, placing back-to-back in 10th and 11th. McCarthy was less than a second behind his teammate, as Greenseich clocked 25:42.0 and McCarthy crossed the line just six-tenths of a second later.

Also coming through in the top-25 was Greenseich's classmate Justin Sommer, capturing the 23rd spot with a time of 26:23.1. Exactly 15 seconds later, sophomore Nicholas LeClair finished in 29th place. Rounding out the top five for Oswego was junior Kyle Pollicove with a time of 26:49.1

The Lakers will head to their final meet before the SUNYAC Championships on Saturday, Oct. 15 when they travel to Glassboro, N.J. to run in the Rowan University Interregional Border Battle.
