2013 May 14

Tara R. Fleming of Mexico was honored at SUNY Oswego's recent Honors Convocation, where she received the Richard Hyse Outstanding Economics Student Award Omicron Delta Kappa inductee, 2013 Vice President.

Fleming is a member of the class of 2014 studying applied mathematical economics and applied statistics at Oswego. She is the daughter of Lisa and Tracy Fleming of Mexico.

The formal ceremony, complete with a procession of faculty and college officers in full academic regalia, is sponsored each spring at Oswego by Vega, the women's honor society.

The audience included faculty, staff, students and students' family members. SUNY Oswego honored 111 students at the ceremony.

A 152-year-old comprehensive college in the State University of New York system, Oswego enrolls about 8,000 students in its College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; School of Business; School of Communication, Media and the Arts; and School of Education.
