SUNY Oswego's Elena Margrey elected secretary of state Future Business Leaders-Phi Beta Lambda

Elena M. Margrey of Baldwinsville, a junior in the 5-year accounting/MBA program at SUNY Oswego, was elected statewide 2016-17 secretary of Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda.

She joins fellow state officer, Oswego junior Mark Prezioso, elected president of the organization, which seeks to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. Elections were held at the group's New York State Leadership Conference, hosted by SUNY Oswego.

Admission to SUNY Oswego is competitive. U.S. News Media Group counts SUNY Oswego among the top public regional universities in the North for 2016, and the Princeton Review includes Oswego in its 2016 college guidebook "The Best Northeastern Colleges" and in its national list of "Green Colleges."

A 155-year-old comprehensive college in the State University of New York system, Oswego enrolls about 8,000 students in its College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; School of Business; School of Communication, Media and the Arts; and School of Education.
